Hello from Denver

December 13, 2004 10:45 AM

I'm in Denver for the next two days for a work project.  I'm staying at the Luna Hotel which is this ultra-modern uber-trendy hotel in the young, hip Wazze district of downtown Denver.

They say that since the city is a mile up, it's harder to breath but I haven't noticed it yet.

I slept well except I didn't have my pillow with me.  I've very picky about pillow.  The fancy overstuffed ones give me a sore neck.

As a native of Colorado I laugh at you. Granted yes, you aren't going to notice that it is harder to breath if you don't do anything. Get out and play some sports, ride a bike, go for a jog...then my friend, then you will notice. While you are hear, you should take the drive up Pikes Peak...you won't have to do anything except sit there and you'll notice loss of breath.

On Wednesday before my flight I woke up at 5am and walked around LoDo checking out the buildings while watching the sun rise. It was great, especially since I rarly see a sun rise unless I happen to still be at work.

I walked for about three hours. I wasn't anymore out of breath as I usually am for a long walk, but maybe I didn't notice it because I have asthma and I haven't been working out for a while so I figured it was normal fatigue.
