What should I ask President Bush?

March 12, 2006 7:07 PM

On Monday I'll be attending an event in DC hosted by President George W. Bush. He will be speaking about defending democracy against terrorism.

Any suggestions on questions I should ask, assuming they let us ask our own questions without approving them first?

Hi Dylan,

How about this question:

"Adding a steel bar across the pilot's door would prevent planes from being flown into targets, and would cost a very small amount of money. So at that point, the only thing that terrorists could do would be to blow up a plane and kill a few hundred people. There are many other simpler ways to kill this many people, so it seems unlikely that a plane would be a good target for terrorists. Yet we continue to spend hundreds of millions on initiatives like TSA to screen people at airports. Is it possible that we are wasting large amounts of taxpayer's money on activities with little payoff? And wouldn't that money be better spent on initiatives like education which are clearly lacking right now?"

Graham

no brainer: there is no chance you'll be able to ask a question that isn't pre-approved.

Yup, they didn't let us ask questions.  I could have shaked his hand at the end but I didn't feel the need to.

Ask him is he wears boxers or briefs.

Boxers or briefs

I bet he wears a man thong, but only when he meets other world leaders

M Sayo

he wears briefs.  see for yourself:
