I bought a house!

I
bought my first house today!
- It's in Falls Church, off 66 and 7, just south of Tyson's Corner.
- It's about 15 minutes from DC on 66, and just off the beltway, first exit on 66 East.
- Here's a map and satellite photo (the thumbtack is on the wrong side of the road).
- It's a one story rambler with a finished basement.
- It was built in 1953, and has been renovated here and there and has been kept in great shape.
- I bought the house with Chris Donovan, co-worker and friend since the days of Doom and Warcraft at Maryland. He'll be taking over the basement.
- We'll be moving in over the course of the month. We have BrickFest this weekend and I'm going to Seattle for a work trip next week. Just got to get out of my place before September because that's when my lease is up.
- I don't have a house phone yet.
- Here's photos!
Yes, there will be a housewarming party, on Saturday, October 30th, which happens to also be our annual Halloween party and my birthday. Clear your calendar now, and start thinking about your costume!

How exciting, Dylan! The house looks wonderful! Best of luck. Am I invited to the housewarming/ costume party? I could come dressed up as a cranky, overweight, middle-aged lady!!!!

Hey Aunt Terri and Aunt Pam! Yes, you are both invited down!
There isn't much in the house yet - not even furniture, but it is open for tours from noon to midnight.

Hey Dylan, congrats on your new place. I just moved into a new apartment in San Jose, probably a much smaller move, but still hectic. Best of luck with everything and such. Oh, might I suggest Vonage as well for your phone service. I signed up with SpeakEasy OneLink where I'm at. It's 6000/768 and I had it up and running the day of the move in. That's costing my $80/mo, but then there's Vonage which is $30/mo and works great on the connection, unlimited calls to US and Canada is great too. I'd recommend the service to anyone that has a super fast broadband connection. No dealing with SBC either. Anyway, nice place!

I saw the album of your house what you bought. It was a fantastic and beautiful house for you. I liked it very much. Rather than the house i like the place really very much because it is a noiseless area and beauty to look at it in the front. If i buy a house i would be buying like this. Thank you for your beautiful post.
