Debate over - Kerry wins 3 for 3
October 13, 2004 10:49 PM
The debate is over.
Kerry showed why should be the next president. He was clear, concise, answered the questions, had detailed plans, used facts not name calling, and was confident.
Bush avoided answering important questions, wasn't confident, and used numbers already proved false by FactCheck.org to back his arguments.
As of right now:
- MSNBC: Bush: 29% Kerry: 71% (757,900 responses)
- CNN: Bush: 46% Kerry: 54% (455,862 responses)
- CNBC: Bush: 15% Kerry: 85% (10,602 responses)
- FOX News: Bush: 46% Kerry: 53% (281,686 responses)
(Updated numbers at 1:40 am est.)

Yes, the debate is over.
Kerry showed why should NOT be the next president. He was deceptive, vague, took every opportunity to point the finger at "my opponent" rather than simply answering the questions, gave poorly detailed plans and the plans he did give were either already in place by "his opponent" or would not work using the figures he stated (25 million americans would still not be covered by health care according to his "plan"), harped on the same rhetoric he's used in every debate and said nothing new, and spoke contrary to his own record....
With the exception of the question on jobs for american workers which Bush equated to a question of younger workers preparing for the workforce, Bush was straightforward, concise, clear, firm in his stance and explanations, and clearly had a better grasp of how things actually work in the real world...
Kerry would have us answer to a "world court", depend on the UN to set policies and issues, has no plan on HOW he would fight terrorism or close the borders (he just says he will, but doesn't have a clue how), is opposed to the military (he has voted against the military at every opportunity he's had over the course of 30 years), claims to have commited war crimes, has commited treason against this country, and now wants to be "commander in cheif"...
You'd better check this out if you think you know who John Kerry really is... http://www.stolenhonor.com/documentary/samples.asp

They should also check this out if they think John Kerry is someone with integrity....

More information, regarding the blatant deception Kerry and Edwards are attempting to get away with and trying to hide from the american public...

MSNBC states: "This is not a scientifically valid survey"
today Bush rose to 39% as some more people have wandered across their site...CNN states: "This QuickVote is not scientific and reflects the opinions of only those Internet users who have chosen to participate. The results cannot be assumed to represent the opinions of Internet users in general, nor the public as a whole".
Fox states: "This is not a scientific poll". Nevertheless, they show Bush ahead 59% to Kerry's 39% at 7:57am Friday 10/15/04
So, according to one non-scientific poll, Bush "won" by a landslide 59% to Kerry's meager 39% at this time...
was our original polster trying to trick us, or was he just misinformed at the time...? Hmmmmm...

He wasn't misinformed, he just jumped to a hasty conclusion...

Anonymous - check your facts out. "StolenHonor" is another republican front, like Swift Boat Veterans for Deceiving America and Smearing Good People.

I certainly wasn't under the impression it was a Democrat site...

You're anonymous to me....
I don't know you, can't see you face to face, and have no way of knowing you dont' use a ficticious name....yet it is the substance of what you write that I respond to...I assume you do the same.... yes?so, what's your problem, whatever your name really is...?and why should it matter if you're going to make things personal, rather than sticking to the issues, for that matter...?I'll use what is provided for and allowed on the blog, thank you...or I can register under any name under the sun...but would that really make you happy...?very doubtful....Posted October 16, 2004 12:11 AM

Kerry has "rusted on his laurels" long enough..he can not carry our country on his past or present! We need someone with a good heart and fine values...we pray for this election.

'good heart and fine values' certainly does not pertain to president bush. we indeed pray for this election.

Please, America!!! Wake up and smell the coffee. The Kerry/Edwards team, or "Slick and Slicker" as I like to call them will do nothing good for this country or the world. The promises they make regarding jobs and health care are suspect at best, completely unattainable at worst. We need Mr. Bush, more now than ever. I hope the American people will become outraged since Osama aired his threat, and come together again as they did on September 11 and on December 7, 1941. We should be REALLY MAD about this threat, not scared. Please let President Bush continue to do his job!
