It's over... or is it?

I'm disappointed in the media's coverage last night. Well, the Daily Show coverage was hilarious, but that's another story.
Voting Machine Problems. There have been hundreds of reports of e-voting machine problems, such as machines showing up already with votes on them, machines that record all Democratic tickets as an all Republican ticket if the voter leaves a question blank, machines not working, modem lines being compromised, Access database locking issues, security issues, and political influence from creators of the machines. There's been issues of voters being turned away because their signatures weren't dead matches, and even a traditionally Democratic county in Florida that had 58,000 absentee ballots go missing. The media ignored the problems.
Exit Poll Inconstancies. Why did the exit polls show a clear Kerry lead in nearly every battleground state including Florida, but the final voting numbers weren't even close? I know exit polls are not going to be dead on, but they weren't even close. The huge discrepancy makes me wonder what the voting machine counted versus what people said/thought they did.
Phantom Votes. There seems to be an abnormally large number of votes in Florida just for president, ignoring all other questions on the ballot. Now I know people ignore questions or candidates on the ballot they don't know anything about, but Florida is unique case: while most states have at most 1% voters who just vote for President, Florida had 2% - a new record. Yesterday 171,537 votes were counted for president on ballots that were otherwise empty. Why is this number so large? Where there really that many people that didn't bother with any other questions on the ballot or is this some bigger sign of one of the other two issues I brought up.
I'm glad this won't be drawn out into another month-long fiasco, but I would like be assured that our right to vote for our leadership was not stolen from us once again.

I haven't looked into any of these to see if they are true or not, so take these with a grain of salt.
============================
milwaukee:
people in minority communities recevied flyers saying not to vote if they havent payed parking tickets or child support cause they will be arrested.
madison, wi:
flyers distributed saying if anyone in your family has been convicted of a crime, youre not allowed to vote. also, calls and doorhangers saying "remember to vote nov 3rd"
ohio:
people didnt receive absentee ballots. Some are going to polls to get provisional ballot, on orders of mr. blackwell, being denied provisional ballot saying that they cannot use a provisional ballot.
restaining order eventually placed on polling officials saying they cannot enforce mr. blackwell's order.
one woman, went to 3 polling places, had been trying to vote since 6:30am this morning, finally voted at 2pm requesting a provisional ballot, said she wasnt leaving until she received one, however, since she
didnt vote in her correct polling place, her ballot too might be called in to question. this is happneing all over.
florida:
people's names just arent on registrar's list, being denied right to vote.
voters being told by election officials that their provisional ballots wont be counted, therefore, why bother.
south dakota:
republicans working for john thume writing down native american license plates at polling places-intimidation effort claimed to determine if they're legal voters.
colorado:
one woman reported that she was called and told she could vote early at a local baptist church. She went there, voted, and was told today by her co-workers that early voting ended last friday. what?
arizona:
reports of automated calls telling voters they're polling place had changes. they drove 20 miles across town to find out that it wasnt true.
alameda county - electronic machines breaking all over, error messages, one woman was denied a paper ballot and given a provisional ballot.
this in our county, not even a swing state, think of how many times this could have happened to those who were ignorant.

My only hope is that this election will 1. perhaps help to bring on a change in our electoral process to a more fair, more easily regulated system and 2. lead to the eventual election of a more prophetic candidate who can undo some of the damage done by this administration.

From what I heard on the news is that an early leak in exit polls showed Kerry winning. However when the exit polls were finalized they had bush winning and the exit poll numbers ended up matching the election results.
I forget which news it was on tonight but they talked of the early exit poll leak and how bloggers spread it all over the internet.

I think that there was A LOT more fraud and manipulation going on than we will ever know. They did it from so many directions that we can never prove anything. If you mix a thing up enough, like breaking a glass into a million pieces, you can never put it together. I do know that in Florida during the election 4 years ago, the military were sent absentee ballots over and over again, and yes, they all kept filling them out, voting for Bush. The military person that I got this information from said everyone on the ship kept getting them and they all did the same, they placed another vote for Bush, (she did it 3 times). How many military voters voted 2 or 3 times in this election? No one will ever know. Also, I can tell you that business is very bad in California from what I've been feeling and seeing with others. Looking for a job? Job market is beyond bad from what I've heard (haven't been out there looking so can't say for sure). Also, I called the Post Office to check on a package I'd mailed Priority, I could swear I was talking to a person from another Country, the menu had all changed and the person seemed to not understand basic information about America. Are they out-sourcing Federal Jobs now??? Does anyone know??? Would like feedback on all this stuff, any comments???

I had problems with registering to vote and saw others with problems casting their ballots. I registered on Sept. 24th...I didn't get my voter card until Saturday just before the election. They did not send me a voter phamplet. They said because I registered late. I like to study the issues and don't like to vote unless I know what I'm voting for, I could not even get one at the polling place (btw..my card shows my registration was received on Sept. 24th, 6 weeks before the election) Then while I was there at the polling place, only took 10 minutes or so, I saw 3 people that were registered voters but names were not listed so they had to do provisional ballots. The workers there said they must have left off a lot of areas or whole streets of the city, they were having so many people not on the lists, and one guy replied, "well my wife got hers'". Maybe she was Republican???
