California for Cooper U training

Work sent me to Palo Alto for Cooper U, a week-long training course in Interaction Design. I highly recommended this class or at least Cooper's books (About Face and The Inmates are Running the Asylum) to everybody who creates software.

These things were on the ground everwhere! It was like walking on dead slugs. I think they are some sort of pine cone. Whatever they are, I'm glad we don't have them on the east coast.
