Photos from Above - Looking down at Boeing and Mt. Rainer
Sunday, February 15, 2004
These photos Boeing photos were taken while flying into SeaTac from the north. The photos of Mount Rainer were taken as we left the Seattle area to go back to DC. I actually don't know if the mountain in the other photos is really Mount Rainer, so if you know otherwise, let me know.

This is really strange - on the left is a lake that is not frozen, and on the right is a lake that is frozen. They look to be about a mile apart, are about the same size, and about the same attitude. My guess? The non-frozen one has a secret underground lair beneath it.

The one on the left is actually about 500 ft lower thatn the other and has an outfall that the other does not have.
Note the earthen dam at the top of the photo.

Note the sheer face of the escarpment to the right of the open lake.
Then pan over to the closed lake and notice that this lake is on top of the escarpment.
